Hi, I'm Vikas. I'm an IT professional who spends a lot of time with family, friends, and (unsurprisingly) computers.
I've spent over a decade as a DevOps, Cloud, and Platform Engineer, constantly finding new ways to automate and improve how systems are built, deployed, and secured. For me, automation isn’t just work—it’s something I truly enjoy. I love making technology smoother and more reliable, and I’m always on the lookout for ways to make life a little easier for everyone.
These days, I’m exploring how artificial intelligence can push engineering forward. I love tinkering with language models, smart workflows, and AI-powered automation—both in the cloud and on my own devices. There’s something genuinely exciting about experimenting with new tech and finding practical ways for AI to make coding, troubleshooting, and repetitive tasks faster and easier.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find me experimenting with open-source software or the latest AI tools, playing squash, catching up with friends and family, or simply enjoying some well-earned rest.

My interest in systems began during college and quickly grew into a career in Unix administration. I was immediately drawn to the command line, the logic behind operating systems, and the challenge of diagnosing problems that were not always obvious. That curiosity—and a habit of choosing the more difficult technical path—shaped much of my early career.
Over the years, I progressed from a trainee to senior support roles and eventually into team leadership. Working across different levels of system administration gave me valuable experience not only in operating complex environments, but also in mentoring engineers, handling critical incidents, and making sound technical decisions under pressure.
In 2013, my career took a new direction when I began working with cloud and container technologies. The ability to define and manage infrastructure through code completely changed how I approached engineering. Since then, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, automation, and infrastructure as code have become central to my work and professional growth.

Automated an end-to-end, AI-driven workflow for blockchain node upgrades, combining agent skills, MCP servers, and GitHub Actions to handle release triage, deployment, and QA that previously took the team days.
Extended the open-source Flagger load-tester with Hurl and k6 so canary releases are gated on functional correctness, latency, and error-rate thresholds before traffic shifts.
Architected and delivered a secure, fully automated Azure platform based on CAF and Azure reference architectures, deployed entirely as code via CI/CD. Built with Terraform, Terragrunt, AKS, FluxCD, Helm, Kustomize, KEDA, Cast AI, Ansible, Docker, Nginx, and Azure Pipelines.

I just loved Mathematics and Computer Science, other than these subjects I was just an average student.
Sports is worth mentioning here, I was pretty active in this arena, had represented my school in games like Volleyball and Football.
